Jasper L. Lewis, Jr., D.D.S., M.S.
Dr. Lewis, a specialist in pediatric dentistry, is a native of Eastern North Carolina. He received a B.S. in biology from Wake Forest University, Winston Salem. His dental degree was earned from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, followed by two years as a dental officer in the US Air Force. He received his postdoctoral degree from the University of North Carolina in 1973, moved to Greenville and opened his practice that year. Board certified since 1981, Dr. Lewis has held offices in numerous regional and national dental organizations including a term as president of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He lectures across the nation and internationally on pediatric dentistry and practice management.
Joseph M. Gondrez, D.M.D.
Dr. Gondrez, a specialist in pediatric dentistry, is originally from Kingston, Jamaica. He received his undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of the West Indies, Jamaica. He earned a dental degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL, then completed a general practice residency at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Gainesville, FL. After practicing general dentistry in Sumterville, FL for 2 years, Dr. Gondrez completed a pediatric dental residency at the University of Tennessee, Memphis, in 1997. Before moving to Greenville in 1998 to join Dr. Jasper Lewis' practice, he was Chief of Pediatric Dentistry at Arkansas Children's Hospital, Little Rock, AR.
W. Lee Lewis, D.D.S.
Dr. W. Lee Lewis, a specialist in both Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry, is a native of Greenville, NC. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wake Forest University and his Dental Degree from the University of Tennessee, Memphis in 1995. Dr. Lewis earned a Postdoctoral Degree in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Tennessee, Memphis then completed a Postdoctoral Residency Program in Orthodontics at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia in 1999. Dr. Lewis is active in several orthodontic and pediatric dental organizations. He is the past President of the East Central Dental Society, North Carolina’s Fifth District Dental Society and the North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He is currently on the Board of Trustees of North Carolina’s Fifth District Dental Society and the North Carolina Dental Society. He is also on the Medical Executive Committee at Vidant Medical Center. In his free time, he enjoys coaching soccer, fishing, hunting, skiing and spending time with his family. His wife, Kathy, is from Arkansas and they were married in 1995. They have one son, Evan, and twin daughters, Jordan and Makenzie.
Scott LaFevers, D.D.S.
Dr. Scott LaFevers was born and raised in Goldsboro, NC. He graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 1997. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance (2001) and his Master of Business Administration in Health Care Management (2002) from East Carolina University. He attended UNC – Chapel Hill School of Dentistry and graduated in 2006. Dr. Scott LaFevers is active in various dental societies and organizations, including the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He is also a proud member or the Military Affairs Committee. He has a wife, Kim and two daughters, Bree and Anna Scott.
Derek M. Steele, D.D.S., M.S.
Dr. Derek M. Steele, a specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, is a native of Greenville, NC. He graduated from J.H. Rose High School and went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Brigham Young University. Dr. Steele received his Dental Degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2011 and continued his studies to earn a Master of Science Degree in Orthodontics from Nova Southeastern University. He is ecstatic to be back home in eastern North Carolina where he enjoys spending time with family, golfing, and supporting ECU.
Britt A. Causey, D.D.S.
Dr. Britt A. Causey, a specialist in pediatric dentistry, is originally from Ahoskie, North Carolina. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Peace College in Raleigh, North Carolina. She earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She then worked in private practice and public health for nine years, discovering her love for treating children and adolescents. She then completed the Postdoctoral Pediatric Dentistry Residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Dr. Causey is an active member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry. Outside of work, Dr. Causey enjoys spending time with her husband, Dr. Matt Causey (a general dentist), her Great Dane, Rocco, and her family. She loves cooking, reading, watching movies, and vacationing at the North Carolina Coast.
